Arch. Julius Kipketer was trained at the University of Nairobi where he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (First class honors).  On his training, he received various awards out of his outstanding performance.
He has been in the building industry since 1991 when he joined Mruttu Salmann and Associates, Architects and Town Planners where he gained his initial practical training.

He is the Principal Architect of Tej Architects which was established in 1994 as a sole proprietorship and unlimited liability company to offer Architectural services. Since 1994 to date Arch. Julius Kipketer has undertaken and completed a wide range of projects ranging from Educational, Healthcare, Hospitality, Religious,  Residential , Industrial, Commercial,  and also Interior design. In addition to practical training attained under employment, he has also been a key player in various professional and non-professional bodies, where his leadership skills have been called upon time and time again.
